Privacy Policy

HIREABLE ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you use the HIREABLE mobile application ("the App"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data.

1. Information we collect

When you use HIREABLE, we collect the following types of information:

Account information: Email address, password (stored hashed, never plaintext), and any name or profile details you provide during signup.

Resume content: The text content, education history, work experience, skills, projects, and other professional information from resumes you upload or create within the App.

Career goals: Target roles, industries, company preferences, and timeline information you provide to personalize coaching.

Usage data: How you interact with the App, including features used, screens viewed, frequency of use, and outcomes (resumes generated, interviews completed, applications tracked).

Voice recordings: When you use the voice mock interview feature, your spoken responses are transcribed in real time. Audio is processed transiently and not retained after transcription unless you explicitly save an interview.

Device information: Device type, operating system version, app version, and crash diagnostics.

Subscription information: Subscription status managed via Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat. We do not collect or store payment card information — that is handled entirely by Apple.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve the core App features (resume tailoring, mock interviews, career coaching)
  • Process AI requests using third-party AI services (see Section 4)
  • Personalize coaching content based on your profile and goals
  • Communicate with you about your account, updates, and customer support
  • Diagnose crashes and improve App stability
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

We process your data under these legal bases:

  • Contract: Processing necessary to deliver the App's services to you
  • Legitimate interests: Improving the App, preventing fraud, ensuring security
  • Consent: For optional features like voice interviews (you can decline by not using that feature)
  • Legal obligation: When required by law

4. Third-party services we use

HIREABLE uses these third-party services to deliver functionality. Each has its own privacy practices:

  • Supabase (database and authentication): Stores your account, profile, and resume content. supabase.com/privacy
  • Anthropic (AI processing for resume tailoring, coaching, interview analysis): Resume content and interview transcripts are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic does not train on our API data per their policy. anthropic.com/legal/privacy
  • OpenAI (speech-to-text for voice interviews): Audio transcription via Whisper API. openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
  • ElevenLabs (text-to-speech for voice interviews): Text prompts sent to generate spoken interviewer questions. elevenlabs.io/privacy
  • RevenueCat (subscription management): Subscription state and entitlement tracking. revenuecat.com/privacy
  • Apple (payment processing and App Store distribution): All payment processing is handled by Apple. We never see your payment information. apple.com/legal/privacy

By using HIREABLE you acknowledge that your data will be processed by these services as needed to deliver the App's features.

5. Data retention

We retain your account and resume data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (see Section 8), all your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Voice recording audio is processed transiently and not retained. Transcripts of voice interviews are retained only if you explicitly save the interview.

Anonymized, aggregated usage data may be retained indefinitely for service improvement.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to certain processing activities
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where consent is the basis for processing)

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@hireable.app. We respond within 30 days.

California residents (CCPA): You also have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the sources, the purposes, and any third parties we share it with. We do not sell personal information.

EU/UK residents (GDPR): You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Children's privacy

HIREABLE is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Users between 13 and 18 should have parental consent before using subscription features.

8. How to delete your account

You can delete your account directly within the App at Settings → Account → Delete Account. Or visit /delete-account on this website for full instructions.

When you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including:

  • TLS/SSL encryption in transit
  • Encrypted storage at rest
  • Hashed and salted passwords
  • Regular security audits
  • Restricted internal access on a need-to-know basis

No system is 100% secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately.

10. International data transfers

HIREABLE is operated from the United States. If you use the App from outside the US, your data is transferred to and processed in the US. We rely on standard contractual clauses and adequacy decisions where applicable.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
